The Guo lab’s research interest is to understand posttranscriptional process and RNA metabolism in muscle structure and function. Particularly, Guo lab is focused on the role of RNA binding proteins in alternative splicing and protein transport in heart muscle diseases (Cardiomyopathies) as well as skeletal muscle hypertrophy and regeneration using both in vitro and in vivo approaches. The long-term goal in Guo lab is to develop RNA-based approaches to improve human health and animal production efficiency.
